Most new construction buyers in the Treasure Valley make their largest financial decision with less information than they would bring to buying a car. That is not their fault. The information they would need is scattered, conflicted, and largely owned by parties with a financial interest in steering the decision. This site is an attempt to fix that.
The Mission
Treasure Valley New Construction is an informational site first. It is not a lead-generation funnel dressed up as content. The goal is to be genuinely useful to a buyer who is researching new construction before they are ready to talk to anyone — including the author.
What that means in practice:
- Verified information only. Every builder claim, every community fact, every price range is cross-referenced before publication. When something can't be verified, it is flagged or omitted.
- No unsubstantiated negative claims. The site does not publish builder ratings, builder hit pieces, or comparative defamation. It describes criteria, not conclusions about specific names.
- Honest tradeoffs. Where multiple options exist, the site presents them with honest tradeoffs rather than picking one without explanation.
- Educational not transactional. The content is structured for people in research mode — bottom-of-funnel questions answered directly, with the depth a serious buyer wants.
When the research phase ends and a real conversation is the next step, the same site is where that happens: working with Jerod on a new build, with the contact form as the inquiry path.
About the Author
This site is written by Jerod Lee — Associate Broker and Team Leader at My Home Connection by REAL Broker LLC, licensed in Idaho since 2005. Jerod's background is different from most real estate agents in the valley, and it directly shapes the kind of analysis published here. Before real estate he worked in civil engineering at David Evans and Associates and then in IT and software; the current real estate practice is his second.
The architectural design background means Jerod reads floor plans and evaluates build quality at a technical level most agents cannot match. The civil engineering firm experience adds structural literacy. The work since 2005 across the full spectrum of Treasure Valley new construction — from production spec homes through custom luxury estates — is what makes the comparative analysis on the site possible.
